Question: I remember being told that the only homework that would be assigned would be for long term projects. My son came home from 4th grade on the 1st 2 days with homework. Whats up?
Answer (received from Margaret): Grade levels have adjusted homework for the coming school year. All students will be given a reading log with appropriate reading times to match grade levels. The third grades will have homework on Thursdays and 10 mins each night of math/spelling practice. Fourth and fifth grades will have one sheet per night along with their reading log. Most grade levels will have 1-2 projects during the year.
We will look for parent feedback in terms of how students are managing and will adjust for individual students or grade levels as necessary.
